Health, Safety and Management Consultancy and Training Services
My name is Richard Parker and I am the Managing Director of Bay Safe Limited. I began working life as an apprentice carpenter and joiner and I’ve worked in construction, served in the army and worked as a teacher in Further Education before becoming a full time health and safety practitioner in 2004
I am a Chartered Member of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) and hold the NEBOSH Level 6 Diploma in Health and Safety and the NEBOSH Certificate in Fire Safety and Risk Management. I am also a qualified and experienced lead auditor and hold a degree level qualification in management and a post graduate degree in adult education.
My varied background has given me some great life experiences and I have worked as a trainer and consultant with many organisations both large and small.
In recent years I found that I was being asked more and more to deliver health and safety training for private clients, so in the latter end of 2012 I took voluntary redundancy from my full time post and established Bay Safe Limited.
My passion is training and development and I constantly strive to ensure that the training which I design and deliver is not only relevant but interesting and very cost effective.
Prior to becoming a health and safety practitioner I worked for eight years as a management trainer/consultant and I am still involved in the design and delivery of high level management development programmes.
I believe that my ‘muddy boots’ experiences in the construction industry, the self-discipline that I learnt in the military, my experience as a management consultant and my recent experience as a health and safety practitioner places me in the ideal position to provide practical health, safety and management solutions for your organisation.
